Feel free to pin photo's from this blog...I'm not one of those blogger's that will flip out and go on a rant about you "stealing" my photo's because you liked it enough to share it, lol. I am not a "professional decorator, cook, gardener" or "professional" anything else....I BLOG FOR FUN. Nope....not one of the perfect blogger's here. My house is not perfect, and you will never be led to believe it is. I simply cannot offer you "how-to's", nor will I leave comment's on your blog offering decorating advice...sorry. If you are one of the "professional blogger's" as I refer to so many of them these days, I simply am not interested in your invite to your linky parties...with YOUR strict instructions to follow YOUR rules, lol, in order to increase YOUR traffic. If your not here for enjoyment, then this simply isn't the blog for you.

2013 Fall Mantle at 1800 Farmhouse Rd

Mrs. P almost forgot to show ya'll her fall mantle this year. Here, take a look......


 I used burlap and hounds tooth ribbon this year, along with leftover's from previous years. I didn't buy anything new.

 I am thinking that I will go back to my usual woodsy/twiggy theme next year. This has not been my favorite fall mantle, but I didn't dislike it enough to take it all down and re-do it.

 Don't you just love fall colors?? I think I would like it better if it had a bit more orange mixed in.



  Dried hydrangea's in an old basket, and a handmade bowl from one of hubby's patients has made their way to the primitive coffee table in the great room for the fall season.

 Oh, and meet Annie. This is the latest addition to the farm. She is such a cutie. My nephew found her on the side of the road, and just happened to drop by my house with her. Sophie hates her, but I hope that will change.
This is after a bath, and a full belly. How could anyone be so cruel?? Oh well, she has her "forever" home now, and will never be hungry or scared again as long as she is here with us :)

    Oh Teresa, Annie is precious! I agree, some people are so cruel! I hope there is a special place in for them in... She's one lucky pup to be in your home! She looks worn out from her bath! Now, to your mantel- it's stunning! Of course, I love your mantels! You totally amaze me with the fullness and your ideas! I love the ribbon and burlap inserted in it!

    Your mantel is beautiful but I can't stop staring at Annie. :) You are a good person. I've been staring at a dog at the animal shelter and I'm trying to convince my hubby.

    I think your mantel is gorgeous, Teresa! I also love that huge basket of hydrangeas. That is one of my favorite flowers, but they don't do very well here in the desert.....sniff, sniff!

    Well, I would say that is one lucky little puppy to have made her way to your home! I do hope Sophie soon realizes that moms and dads have enough love in their hearts for a whole house-full of babies. They are just so much like little human kids, aren't they?

    I am so happy that Annie found a home with you...she is just darling and it does make me sad, too, that people can be so cruel. Actually, it sickens me.

    I really like your mantel. My favorite part? The hounds tooth ribbon! Anything else might not have showed up so well. You did a great job!

    Teresa, I have missed you! I did not know you were blogging again! When I saw Sophie's picture at the top I immediately recognized her, remember her with the food all over her chin--was it caramel? And now she has a new sister, who she will eventually learn to tolerate, at least.

    I think your Fall mantel is just gorgeous! Love that black and white ribbon. That Annie is precious - don't you just worry about people who could so callously leave something that darling on the side of the road? They just must not have a heart at all!! Well, she looks perfectly content.
