I BLOG FOR FUN...

Feel free to pin photo's from this blog...I'm not one of those blogger's that will flip out and go on a rant about you "stealing" my photo's because you liked it enough to share it, lol. I am not a "professional decorator, cook, gardener" or "professional" anything else....I BLOG FOR FUN. Nope....not one of the perfect blogger's here. My house is not perfect, and you will never be led to believe it is. I simply cannot offer you "how-to's", nor will I leave comment's on your blog offering decorating advice...sorry. If you are one of the "professional blogger's" as I refer to so many of them these days, I simply am not interested in your invite to your linky parties...with YOUR strict instructions to follow YOUR rules, lol, in order to increase YOUR traffic. If your not here for enjoyment, then this simply isn't the blog for you.

Our outside Christmas 2013.....and a little from the past.

For the first time since we have lived in this house (7 years), I didn't do all of the wreath's on the windows (13) because I just didn't feel up to it. Our outside decor is very minimal this year, but it will be so easy to take down and clean up :)
I had a Christmas flag and some decor on the ground, but do ya'll remember Annie, my latest rescue (you can see her HERE ) Well, the decor no longer exist. She did leave a rubber boot in the huge hole that she dug. I will have to get a recent pic of her up....she is a wild thing!

I left my garland from the fall decor, and just added different ribbons and balls. You can see that I left the rug, and hubby cut out a stocking to "semi" match the stockings hanging on the mantle.

I just simply didn't feel like doing the traditional wreath on the door this year. You can see the inside stockings HERE

It is plenty with the lights on it at night, but we are so far off the road, no one see's it anyway :(

I was looking thru last year's Christmas pics, and couldn't help but post a pic or two with the wreath's on all of the windows. You can tell it is last year because the front door is still red.

Oh how I love it! Just maybe I will get back to this for 2014....who knows?? I can see that red door making a come back when the weather warms up too :)

See the flag under the light.....well so did Annie. Maybe she will do better next year.

I will do my best to get one more post up before Christmas, but goodness, Ya'll know how I am with blogging lately :(

Merry Christmas just incase this is it!

  1. Oh how I love that red door, I vote to bring it back:) I did a lot less this year in all areas! Less decorating outside and less GIFTS! Each person gets one box, with several gifts inside! I just wanted to do other things than just sit and wrap! Love your door decorations, so cute and different than just a wreath! Have a blessed Christmas dear Teresa! Big HUGS coming at 'cha!

  2. Lol! Annie is a wild thing! Your outside decor is so pretty! LOVE your garland and that cute, whimsical stocking! I think everyone scaled back a bit this year. I, for one, will not miss having to pack up all of that bling after Christmas. I didn't use half of my stuff this year; and I don't miss it at all! Hope you and your family have a Very Merry Christmas!!

  3. Luvly! I too did a simpler Christmas this year. Just wasn't feeling All the stuff. Luv the red door... but I think I luv the black better. Been leaning toward a black one myself . What with men and a dog... the white is too hard to maintain. Merry Christmas!

  9. Very pretty! I didn't do as much this year either. I think it was the shortened time between Thanksgiving & Christmas. I just ran out of time.
