Feel free to pin photo's from this blog...I'm not one of those blogger's that will flip out and go on a rant about you "stealing" my photo's because you liked it enough to share it, lol. I am not a "professional decorator, cook, gardener" or "professional" anything else....I BLOG FOR FUN. Nope....not one of the perfect blogger's here. My house is not perfect, and you will never be led to believe it is. I simply cannot offer you "how-to's", nor will I leave comment's on your blog offering decorating advice...sorry. If you are one of the "professional blogger's" as I refer to so many of them these days, I simply am not interested in your invite to your linky parties...with YOUR strict instructions to follow YOUR rules, lol, in order to increase YOUR traffic. If your not here for enjoyment, then this simply isn't the blog for you.

They are gone...

Summer time at the farm has led to some pretty big changes. Hubby has decided to let go of a few of his "boy-toys". He hasn't seen these pictures yet, but I will show them to you.

This is "Old Orange", as I called him,  he was the first to go. I thought hubby was going to cry when he left, but, he went to a local man who is going to give him a much better home. He is going to re-paint him and give him the attention that he needs. He has been driving him around and showing him off, so old orange really does have a better home.

This one was the "Old Navy" truck. Do you remember when Old Navy actually had these trucks sitting inside their stores??  I advertised this one and the red one on Craigslist on Sunday night, and they both sold on Monday to the first man that came to look. I wish I had a few more to sell because that was three weeks ago, and I have gotten numerous calls everyday since, and I finally deleted them off yesterday.

Some of you may remember this one. I got to use it in my fall decor last year. I knew the love was gone when he let it come out of the shop and be exposed to the weather for days.

These are the two men who bought the 51 and 52. They were just like two little boys with brand new toys. They were so funny, and nice.

Are you wondering what will replace them?? I will show you as soon as it gets here. We ordered a new fifth wheel this week, and it should arrive sometime in August :)

  1. OH that is SAD:( I love them! I can't wait to see your new replacement! Have a blessed day dear Teresa! HUGS!

  2. How exciting!!! Can't wait to see the pics!

  3. Theresa, I was introduced to you this morning at Lea's CiCi's Corner, and enjoyed my initial visit with you at the "Farmhouse." Oh, the parting with old trucks must have been heartwrenching for Hubby, but I'm sure the replacement will make up for it. I invite you come visit me at Beauty Without Within anytime you can.

  4. Oh, I so wish that Hubby would see fit to start "thinning out" but not replacing. My goodness, he has wayyyyyyyyy too many toys and we need to downsize and go to a Garden Home. Well, that's what I think, but then, what do I know. I know I want a new house and I know that we do not need this big house and 2 1/2 acres any longer. But..............life goes on. Happy weekend!

  5. Oh, your poor hubby is probably going through "pickup withdrawals!" I hope that new 5th wheel will fill the void.

  6. This is serious! When a man sells his toys, he really loves the new toy! I know you'll have many fun road trips ahead! I see more room for junking too,

  7. T,
he sure had some will power to let those go, don't think I could have done it!
I'd have loved driving the red one around to yard sales and to the flea! I'm sure your new toy will probably make up for any void felt by letting these babies go!
I sent you a e-mail a while back, did you get it? In case you didn't, I'm gonna resend it add a response to your question.

  8. Oh, Teresa! I'm so sad! And I'm not even much of an old truck fan...but I love Old Navy. It's beautiful! I guess I didn't shop at Old Navy early enough to know that history. But that truck is so classy! Of course, the red one in your header has always caught my attention. Something about an old truck is very...country classic...a sign of a strong man...and speaks volumes that you have it in your header. :-) It's wonderful to see this post. HH actually read it and enjoyed it, too. He never reads blogs - barely mine, even. He appreciates old trucks, and Old Navy is his favorite, too. I think there was a little sympathy seller's remorse there. ;-) Lovely, bittersweet post!

  9. Oh my goodness, your hubby must be so sad to part with his prized toys. I hope he is ok with it. Your new replacement sounds exciting. Thank you for posting your pickle recipe. We are keeping our sweet Dante, but I will share his photos. xoxo Linda

  10. I love seeing old vehicles...it's amazing that your hubby was ready to part with them. Wish I had the inclination & cucumbers to try your recipe. Sounds delish!

Just wanted to stop by and say hi and thank you again for your kind words and good thoughts!

  11. Teresa,
sent you an e-mail last week, did you get it?
